Animal proteins and red meat have a very important place in human nutrition. In our country and region, the main source of red meat after cattle is sheep and goats. In milk production, the most is obtained from sheep and goats after cows. In our country, dairy goat breeding has increased in recent years as the demand for goat m ilk and products has increased. Sheep and goats continue their lives and production by making very good use of pasture conditions. When the geographical and climatic conditions of our country and region are considered, sheep and goats are indispensable animal species. With the increase in global warming and climate change in the world and in our region every year, these animal species are gaining more importance.Animal proteins and red meat have a very important place in human nutrition. Ensuring that sheep and goats are healthy and more productive is of great importance in increasing the amount of products produced, as well as in providing reliable animal food sources such as meat and milk. Since our association attaches special importance to the breeding and health of these animal species compared to cattle, the 6th Sheep and Goat Health and Management Congress, which we organize every two years, will be held in Cyprus.

In addition to the speakers we have invited from abroad and within the country for presentations on Sheep and Goat Health and Management, there will also be free oral and poster presentations at the congress.
